Arthur Baldwin Turnure founded Vogue in 1892.The magazine was a weekly publication in America.After Arthur Baldwin Turnure's death in 1909,the publication was taken over by Conde Montrose Nast of Condé Nast Publications whom began  growing its publication,the magazine was now published every two weeks and brought to Britian,Spain & France.

 

 

The magazine's popularity increased during the Depression of the 1930's and World War II.In the 1960's former editor-in-chief  Diana Vreeland began to reach a younger audience through focusing on contemporary fashion and issues.In 1973,Vogue became a monthly publication.Anna Wintour is the current editor-in-chief of Vogue.

Vogue is now published in 18 countries.Vogue has been described as 'the world's most influential fashion magazine' and as 'Fashion's Bible' and has helped to launch the careers of many models.
